Coaching.

I provide one to one coaching sessions based on partnering with clients in a reflective and creative process in order to explore ways to enhance connection to aspects of self, others and their experiences of the world in ways that maximise both personal and professional potential.

I have worked with clients in areas of life including career breaks, career change, major fundraising challenges for causes close to their heart, finding their purpose-based and connection-led leadership style, creating more time for family and hobbies, and designing a life that aligns more closely with personal values and purpose.

My trauma-informed and connection-led approach is approach is particularly suited to clients who are seeking or moving towards greater meaning and purpose following challenging life events or experiences. Such experiences will impact us deeply and often pull us towards change or towards goals with intense personal meaning. I therefore provide space for the acknowledgement of the driving force of significant past challenges within the coaching process.

My approach:

 Connection-led.

My coaching services are designed to provide a space where you can get reflective and creative around issues that feel important to you. The process is collaborative, accepting and non-judgemental. My approach focuses on facilitating increased connection with aspects of self, others and a more joy and awe-filled, purpose-led, experience of the world. I recognise the power of felt connection when it comes to building resilience, finding meaning and purpose, and making a difference in life. I recognise the fundamental importance of connection within the coaching space.

The basis of my coaching approach stems from my training in social psychology, positive psychology and polyvagal theory and therefore leans into an understanding of how our nervous system, sense of belonging and connection, and our perspective all interact as we identify and pursue activities, projects and goals.

Trauma-informed.

My approach is likely to be particularly well suited to you if you have experienced challenging life events or experiences and are feeling a powerful drive towards deep reflection, changes and goals that are very close to your heart.

I have engaged with multiple trainings and events to ensure that my coaching approach is trauma-informed. This enables me to be sensitive to the wide-ranging effects of trauma, how it might manifest in the coaching space, and the boundary between coaching and therapy. Many individuals will have engaged with some form of therapy or alternative around their trauma experiences. As a trauma-informed coach, I am passionate about the value of coaching in the context of trauma given that our past experiences can often become powerful drivers for change and for making a difference in the world.

Story-catching:

My coaching process involves a story-catching approach where I recognise the importance of our stories being voiced and heard, no matter how heavy they feel. Our stories often provide the key ‘why’ with regards to what we are seeking. When our stories involve significant and oftentimes sombre events they can feel hard to share in our day to day lives. However, for many individuals, acknowledging the part played by challenging life experiences in their drive and motivation towards a better way of living is often an important part of the journey. My coaching services therefore provide a space for the witnessing of stories and their role in what individuals are striving towards and the difference they are trying to make in the world.

 An invitation:

Ultimately, the coaching space that I provide is an invitation to collaborate in a reflective and creative process where you can explore your path to increased connection, meaning and fulfilment in areas of your life where you currently feel stuck or underwhelmed. It’s an invitation to move forwards and make a meaningful and purpose-led difference to your life, community or the world at large. Along the way there is space for you to acknowledge the life experiences that have led you here, informed what you want and the difference you are trying to make, and that will drive and motivate you on the path forward.
